On May 17, 2024, the Doctoral Program in Educational Management, Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), organized an online training session on “Bibliometric Analysis.” This event marked the fourth series of a regular Friday training program held at 1:00 p.m. The session featured Dr. Lalu Supardin, S.E., M.M., an expert in bibliometric studies, who delivered an insightful presentation on the concepts, benefits, and applications of bibliometric analysis, including a practical demonstration using a bibliometric software tool.

This activity reflects the program’s continuous commitment to enhancing doctoral students’ research competencies. The Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Educational Management, Dr. Dwi Esti Andriani, S.Pd., M.Pd., M.Ed.St., Ed.D., highlighted that the session provided a valuable introduction to bibliometric analysis and expressed plans to conduct a follow-up workshop focusing on interpreting bibliometric diagrams and translating them into academic writing.

Participants found the topic highly engaging and appreciated the clarity and systematic flow of the presentation, which made it easy to follow and understand. They also suggested organizing an offline continuation session to deepen practical experience. Overall, this bibliometric analysis training is expected to strengthen innovative research practices within the field of educational management.
